About Us
Welcome to the Circle of the Hallowed Moon! Please, step through the herbs drying in the doorway, leave a penny or two for Papa Legba, and have a seat by our hearthfire…
Hallowed Moon is an eclectic Pagan (non-Wiccan) group that draws inspiration from nature, Hedgewitchery, and Traditional Witchcraft practices. We meet together a few time a month for various celebrations and events.
Spiritually, our collective group efforts include anything our members feel will enhance our experiences as both Pagans and wise-folk. These interests currently include Vodou, Hellenism, Heathenism, Shamanism, Chaos Magic, and American Trad Craft paths. We are a syncretic group! We respect all Pagan paths and feel that we can learn from them all. We also believe that one can learn from ALL spiritual paths, regardless of theological background. We are not afraid of the “darker” side of life as we all believe that life is about balance. Without the dark aspects of life, magic, and ourselves there can be no light, and vice-versa. We strive for balance in all things. Because we each follow a different individual path and choose to draw upon several flavors of cultural and theological studies as a group, we have developed the “Sage Garden Path”, a tradition of our own that emphasizes diversity, balance, acceptance, and continued learning.
Hallowed Moon is a family and we all take our roles and dedication to the group seriously. We are led by an ordained Interfaith Minister who is responsible for all of our group decisions with input taken into consideration and welcome from each and every member. We strive for a tight-knit family atmosphere among our members, and nurture a close bonding of energies between members and as a group. We talk to each other, support one another, and are there for one another outside of the group. We are a family. We are best friends. We are a tribe in every sense of the word.
Upcoming Events
Group Social
We’ve got a social coming up for the fall and it’s an old favorite: Karaoke! Stay tuned for details!
Upcoming Esbats
Stephanie is in charge of the Esbat in August so keeping with the theme of the harvest we will be making bread as a coven and swapping recipes for our favorite breads. We’ve combined September’s Esbat with our Michaelmas celebration, but then in October we head back to Honeysuckle Hill Farm for Hallowed Moon’s 5th Annual Full Moon Corn Maze!
Mabon (Michaelmas)
Cory is in charge of the 2nd of our Harvest Festivals, so we will be celebrating Michaelmas instead of Mabon this year in the tradition of Traditional Witchcraft (American). This may or may not be an open event. Details TBA!
Bi-weekly Lunch Outings
We meet bi-weekly (every other Wednesday) for lunch and fellowship. The members pick the location in rotation to keep it fresh and exciting.
